Hello!

I am from Karachi Pakistan and interested to join Selcuk University, Konya for PhD in Journalism. I need to know about the living expenses there. And which type of job I can do there? Further, can I cover all my monthly expenses with the job?

You can try to find a teaching job. A lot of scools hire native English teachers. Since you are from India you will probably have to explain to Turkish people that you have learned english like a native. You should apply to private schools or english courses or even advertise for private lessons. You should ask for 50 liras an hour for private lessons and 30 for working at an institution. Ive heard of some natives asking for 150TL and hour for private lessons. Konya is a small, inexpensive and religious city. There is not much to do there.
