I'm looking to find a good eye doctor and a good dentist in HCMC- preferably western trained.
Any favourites in the D5 area that won't break the bank?

If you looking for both in Q.5 then you should go to the University Medical Hospital.

I lived in HCMC for over 7 years. Found a good dentist 4 years ago located at NHA KHOA AAA, 416 Ly Thai, District 10 just off the round-about. Telephone 08 38347171...their english is poor, but they have treated me with the greatest of care over the years. I've never been 'ripped off' by them! I've moved to DaNang and still travel to their office in HCMC for my needs.

As for opticians, on the corner of HA BAI TRUNG @ NGUYEN DU there is a large modern optical facility. This is at the back of the MAIN POST OFFICE and opposite the ASIANA HOTEL.
Eye tests VND100,000 - the ophthalmologist starts at 10.00H weekdays and Saturdays.
