Am about to open a gym or fast food with new ideas,or a dive shop

Hello every one,I've been staying in Thailand for about 3 years and mostly in Phuket ,but now I've decided to stay with my Thai gf in pattaya and start a bussiness.I mostly prefer to do it alone but if there is a good opportunity for partner ship,he or she will be welcome.
I've been working as a dive master and in a gym as a personal trainer for some time, but I think a good food shop with some good and new ideas  can do a lot too. I've some investments as well.

So  if there's any one interested or have some advice to help please please share it with me,I would be so grateful.

Thank you all

Tooraj

Hi Tooraj...

Are you still looking to start something or have you already committed to a venture?

I have been here over 10 years and have a few ideas for a few businesses that would clean up (profit wise!) in Pattaya...

Drop me a line and we can chat...

Wow a gym, dive shop or restaurant... now those are ideas that are spread all over the map as far as they can be from each other. That in itself must have a good story behind it.

Anyway, go with what you really know and like the best; that's the advice I'd give you. You're a Divemaster (PADI, NAUI or SSI by the way?) so that puts you right up there in qualifications for a dive shop or maybe even just a training facility. You've got the gym experience too, so you're fine on that score. What about the food service industry, do you have any experience with cooking and restaurants? If not, stay with what you know.

Restaurants, everywhere in the world, are one of the most competitive ventures you can possibly enter into and (except for the expensive worldwide franchises) many of them actually fail within their first year of operation. You need to really have it all together to make a success of a restaurant, but when you do and if you can beat the horrible odds stacked against you it can be a gold mine, especially if it is something totally unique.

My bet though is with the dive shop or diver training center. You'll also be doing something fun and that you enjoy. That always makes it seem less like work. Good luck with your venture.
