sorry...i'm new here.... but what approval is given? isit PR or working visa or what?

Working visa
PR will remain a tough cookie for some time

I suppose expatriate working visa will be automatically given to those with salary above RM8000.00.


Entry Permit

Entry Permit is a permit issued to a foreigner wishes to enter and reside in Malaysia. The holder of an Entry Permit will not be required to apply for any pass on employment or other purposes.

Issuance of Entry Permit is not a right but a privilege for a foreigner and subject to the discretion of the Government of Malaysia.


Terms and Conditions

A foreigner may apply for an Entry Permit by submitting an application to the nearest State Immigration Office.

Every application must be sponsored by a Malaysian citizen except for foreign wives, application must be submitted by their husband.

HOW CAN I BECOME A PERMANENT RESIDENT OF MALAYSIA ?

You must reside in Malaysia for a continuous period not less than 5 years under a valid Entry Permit preceding the date of your application for a permanent resident status.

Where the husband is a foreigner of a citizen of Malaysia, such person will have to reside in Malaysia for a continuous period not less than 10 years under a valid Entry Permit preceding the date of your application for a permanent resident status.

To apply for the permanent resident status, you have to bring along your travel document or passport for the pass years to the Visa, Permit and Pass Division of the Immigration Department of Malaysia.

The immigration officer will inform you of your eligibility to apply for a permanent resident status and the supporting documents you have to submit with your application, where applicable.

Even though you may have fulfilled all the conditions, your application may still be rejected if the government is not satisfied with your application.

You may have to submit a new application if you are still interested to be a permanent resident of Malaysia.
