I'm curious if any expats in Ho Chi Minh City would enjoy a crossfit gym in the area? I enjoy crossfit style workouts but see that there is not a gym there and I am considering moving to the area for an undetermined time frame.

Not a thing here at all, except a handful of people in the expat community. The only place I know that offers a crossfit gym is Saigon Sports Center in D7, but I don't think they're accredited: facebook.com/saigonsportsclub
As a side note, there used to be a crossfit gym but they up and moved to Cambodia.

The two accredited gyms in Saigon have now both closed. The gym in D7 known as SSC offers circuit training.
There are a few ex-crossfit Saigon members still working out in D2 in the mornings following a crossfit-style progamme.
