Maltese Citizenship processing times

Hi,

Does anyone have an idea of how long it's taking for Maltese citizenship to be processed? I am a Maltese citizen and my husband (who is South African) applied for his Maltese Citizenship in December'13. We have three children, all of whom are Maltese Citizens too.

We are needing my husband's Maltese Citizenship quite urgently and I was hoping someone might have recent experience of processing times?

The process for EU citizens has speeded up considerable but not sure about TCN applications.
If it is urgent and you can prove it then best go in person and explain the problem.
they are not always un sympathetic.
