Do note that actually there are a lot of expats working in Saudi Arabia so i think that it is safe. Maybe it will help you if you can do a research on the internet about the school that have offered you a secretary/administrative job.

It is safe to live and work in Khobar but I recommend you living in Bahrain and working in Khobar if you can.
