Hi I have just moved to Ahmedabad from the uk! Finding it difficult to make friends! Don't really know the area too well either! Xx

Dear Fellowblogger,

Que pena as they say.It is a pity that in Ahmadabad, you are finding it difficult to make friends.

I assume that you speak Gujarati. What sort of work activity do you do.?I guess the stereotype is that the people in Gujarat only think, talk ,eat & drink business.  Why not start a small venture of your own and you will win new friends whom you will meet in the course of working..

As regards not knowing the city,1 map and 1 talkative car driver should be able to familiarise you with the  city if you are driven around to see  & visit all the places for 4 hours a day x say  2-3 days.(Cost shall be about 1500 Rs. per trip.)

I think you can tie up with someone( familiar with everything local) - and turn a facilitator for expats who visit or work in Ahmadabad, or tourists and foreign students.

As you have been staying in UK,you will find it easy to understand the psyche, needs of expats and also enjoy being of assistance..If you get the right local person to take care of the operations, you may succeed. This is a suggestion as there is a need for such services in Mumbai and I guess the same is true of Ahmadabad or any metro city for that matter.Should you need any assistance,do let me know.
Best wishes,
Art

Hahahaha yeahhh we jaz came from the park we saw the gents dancing i heared it they said its garva... correct me if im wrong with my spelling... september 23 is garva dance so if Gods permit i also attend but i dont dance i just see how people will dance with garva... yeah i love rajkot.. if u lost direction or u need some directions people are very polite.... and when i greet people with the word " kem cho tame" then all of them were amazed and laughing... its really a nice and peaceful city... but the only problem is traffic rules and regulations... no apparently strict implementation on how to drive carefully... but i saw some policemen using stick to control peace and order anyway... no firearms carried by them... which really amazes me.most... less violence which was mahatma gandhi imparted:)))) Godbless us all.. anyway im living here in mavdi plot...

Hi Everyone

My name is Lesley, I have spent time in Bangalore and enjoyed my experience so much of living there that I would love to return to India to work and live.

I am a Nurse Specialist and trainer of care staff and students of nursing. Also trained in holistic therapies. I have a great interest in many things and looking for a position that could use my skills.

It seems impossible at the moment to get anyone to reply to applications for jobs that I apply for directly in India.

Hopefully someone will read this and feel I can be of benefit to their company

My email address is   [email protected]

I have enjoyed reading everyone's blogs and really look forward to hopefully hearing from someone that can offer me a position within their company.

Kind Regards

Lesley
