I qualify for a state sponsored skilled visa (190) and would like to know which are the best tried and tested migration companies which have been used by South Africans to succesfully obtain a permanent working visa for Australia.

Immigration agents are costly and no guarantee of success. Agents will use this website www.immi.gov.au for information and application forms.
As you say you qualify for a visa then why pay someone a lot of money to do something you can do yourself.
