Hi All,

Try to search for any Hongkong's expat guide here but i found none , only for China. For what i knew, HK is different from China. any advises? Currently , we're living in Bangkok and thinking to move to HK because of the current political situation. I need to know about the cost of living in Hk since I heard is much more expensive than Bangkok, Thailand.

Please do advise me. Many Thankss!

Good question, i lived in a non westernized district in Kowloon that has nothing spectacular. A 500 feet apartment cost me about 1,000 US Dollars per month. Running a/c only at night and not every night cost me about 90 US Dollars per month. maintainence fee runs about 50 US Dollars per month. Good food will cost the same as it cost me in the USA, greasy fatty fish ball, fried eels and stinky tofu will be cheap. Groceries, clothes,electronics will cost more than it cost me in the USA.
