Are movies copied into USB hard disks allowed into Saudi Arabia

Hi, I collect movies (I mean, commercial, not porno) and keep copies in hard disk, usually external USB. I am planing to move soon from Montreal, Canada to Riyadh, and would like any advice on this matter, cause I'm planing to bring my USB external disk but I don't bring computer with me (plan to buy one in Riyadh, which I wonder if that is advisable too).
I am worried that I will be stoped at customs, and they be offended by the content in the movies. WHich are the movies that are banned in SA? Also, the disk contains music. hmmmm, I'm worried. Your help will be greatly appreciated.

You only need a good luck.
Theoretically, they may ask if you are carrying any USB-drives, laptops, etc. And then they may take it from you for couple of days to review the content. (it happened to us)
If by chance they hit into minute 0:23 (of in fact decent movie) and someone is kissing there... i donno what may happen? Depends on this guy... or mutawwa... or whoever is doing that.
Practically this happens rarely.
And after all you may download any movies from here too, torrents, etc........

If they check and inspect your external drive expect it receive it back formatted. It happened to a colleague of mine.

It depends on the custom officer, some dont even enquire.

What I would suggest is thet you upload your collection to some site and download it once here.

If you have a collection, you probably dont want to run the risk of losing it!

if your bringing in a usb flash memory, I dont think there is anything to worry about. but if its a hard disk, you have a fifty fifty chance or getting it through quickly. to tell you the truth, all the said above never happend to me, but it happend to others so we cant miscount it. about movies banned. Im not really sure, there might be a few but Im not quite aware of. just dont get anything 18+ rated or M rated.

well, buying a new computer here is ok, you might find the latest specs and all, but U hear that the sale offers in the states and other similar contries pretty much cheaper. its up to you though. for example if you want to get a really good laptop around here it would cost you no less the 4000SAR minimum, if you want an over the top awesome laptop it might cost you at least 10000SAR 1 U$D equals 3.75SAR

thats about it.
