Is it possible to get a work permit ?

hi all greeting,i m saeeda from Bangladesh.me n my husband planning to come Malaysia.i m a nursing graduate n my husband is a lawyer.actually i will come for my post graduation n my husband will come with dependent visa.i like know can my husband can work without work permit .or it possible to get a work permit?n tell me more about life stile ,jobs , facilities for a nurse.good luck for all

Sorry your post is confusing. How can your husband be on a "dependent visa" makes no sense??? You are not Malaysian???? Unless you are here to study????

All non-Malaysians need an employment pass (work permit) unless approved to work on an LTSVP (if spouse is Malaysian or an employment pass holder)

If you are on a student visa he CANNOT WORK

He would need to apply for a job and get an employment pass.

As I understand it current law says he cannot work as a lawyer in Malaysia. Only Malaysians can or those with bi-lateral treaties with home country (ie they swap numbers of work permits).

He would have to work as a non-lawyer in a commercial company.

Your  husband will have to pass an exam to practice law in Malaysia
