Please share your experiences teaching through ADEC in Abu Dhabi.

Hello All.
I am an English teacher currently in Abu Dhabi and ready to run. I won't go into particulars (just too many), but would like to get some honest feedback about what other's teaching experiences have been/are like. Not everyone is miserable, but too many are for it to be coincidence. Please contact me.

Hi Barb,

It appears from your other postings that you've actually been in Abu Dhabi a very short time. Yet, you've already lost your enthusiasm and as you put it are "ready to run."

If the issues are more than just culture shock you may actually be doing others who are thinking about taking a teaching position with the ADEC a favor by airing your grievances a little.

Perhaps by at least stating what the main problems are, in your perception, others will respond with their views. Others still, who have not yet made the move, will have some important things to consider.

Just a thought from a teacher with a 25 year career.

Cheers,
