Hi,

What are the legal steps to put a new car on the road?

I understood that the car dealer can offer you the LTO registration but the next step is unclear for me.

Can we drive directly the car with temporary number plates and how long do we have to wait to have the final ones?

I want to avoid to buy a car.. and leave it on the parking for 3 months....

Yes, the dealer will give you temporary registration. But make sure they give you a few of them because it can and will take months before you receive the plates.

Also make sure you get good insurance.

Thanks, when you say "a few of them", does it mean that the validity of the plate is mentioned on it? or just in case, I lost one?

For the insurance, what about the package that the dealer is offering? is it not more expensive than contacting directly a insurance broker?
