Hey - if they change the CGT rules like they are threatening so we expats have to pay CGT tax on our house sales in the UK. That means we will be less likely to sell? Then there will be even less property on the UK market... Which means UK property prices will go up!!!!!

live more in your uk house for a while so that it is provable as your main residence - thus CGT is not chargebale on first homes / primary residence..
unless of course they are changing that too.
