Sulaymaniyah

Dear Expats,

Anyone with real life knowledge about Sulaymaniyah?
Would someone give me indications about where to stay ( hotel ) at arrival for the first days?
General comments on:
Weather in winter ( should I bring warm clothes?)
Which is the best part of town to rent ( looking for furnished apartment for 1)
Cost of living,
Transport,
Security,
Available banks and ATMs,
Air flight companies working in Sulaymaniyah going to Europe.

Would be very much welcome.

Gozhia City and German village are good option though it may cost around 1000 USD or more.
Cost of living,
depends I guess 700-800 for rent and may be 300-400 for food etc.
Transport,
Taxi is not that expensive and can easily be available 24*7 (most of the time)
Security, Very good haven't seen any issue.
Available banks and ATMs,
North Bank, Bank of Baghdad but most people use cash and no accoutns.
