Question about furnished vs. unfurnished apartments in Cork

Hello all,

I have what may sound like a silly question. I have noticed when looking at rental properties on websites like daft.ie that nearly all of the properties listed in Cork are furnished. There are almost no available apartments that are unfurnished.

Is this common to Ireland, or am I just missing something? I would prefer an unfurnished place and have a hard time believing that it would be so difficult to find.

I really appreciate any insights about this! Thanks!

Kevin

Hi Kevin,

Welcome to expat-blog!

I suggest you to read the article in the Accomodation in Ireland Guide, this might be helpful.

I invite you to post an advert in the Housing in Ireland section, with details of what your are looking for this might be helpful. Thank you! David. :)

Regards,

David.

Thank you David for your reply. After some more poking around on the internet, I did finally find a clear answer to my naive question:

movetoireland.com/movepag/housrent.htm

It looks my wife and I needn't worry about shipping our furniture across the pond. :D

Thanks again, I'm looking forward to hanging out on the expat website!
