South Africans getting married in Bahrain

I'm posting this on behalf of my mother, who met another South African in Saudi Arabia. They have this ridiculous urgency to get married as soon as possible now.

Does anyone know what the procedure is and what documentation you need to take where in Bahrain (or even Riyaad) to get married?

I am not sure, but my suggestion is (and this is something you may have already done but please do) speak to the South African Embassy here, as a first step.
