Expenses in Singapore

Hello,

I'm exploring a job opportunity at Singapore and in case it clicks, I shall shift with my family (wife and a daughter of 5 yrs).

Can somebody guide me with tentative monthly expenses in Singapore with following heads:

1. Accommodation rental (2 BHK in outside city/business area)
2. Utility bills (electricity, water, gas, etc)
3. Cable TV tariff
4. Internet connection
5. Telephone
6. Groceries and daily food at home
7. Dine-outs with family twice a month
8. Child education (school fees, communications, books &   stationary, etc. complete)
9. Transportation (comfortable public transport)
10.Miscellaneous
11.Any other head I hv missed out above

Thanks in advance.

All your questions were answered many times in earlier discussions, so I recommend you use the search function of this forum.
The following site also gives you good information about living costs: www.numbeo.com

But here a (very brief and possibly inaccurate) indication:

1. Accommodation rental (2 BHK in outside city/business area)
S$2500-6000/month depending on size, location, facilities
2. Utility bills (electricity, water, gas, etc)
S$100-400/month depending on usage (mainly aircon)
3. Cable TV tariff
S$20-70/month
4. Internet connection
S$20-50/month
5. Telephone
S$5-500/month depending on plan and usage
6. Groceries and daily food at home
S$600/month per person is a good guide
7. Dine-outs with family twice a month
S$3-300/person depending on where, how, what - basic hawker food is cheaper than cooking yourself!
8. Child education (school fees, communications, books &   stationary, etc. complete)
S$500-3000/month depending on school - foreign kids are not subsidised and may not get a place at the (cheaper) public schools.
9. Transportation (comfortable public transport)
From S$0.80 a ride
10.Miscellaneous
You may want to budget some amount for travel (home trips?).
11.Any other head I hv missed out above
Everything else depends on you, the sky's the limit for spending money in Singapore!
