How to save ourself from fake accounts?

Some members are getting harassment messages, flirt messages, dating messages!

What could be done from our side to secure our self plus others rom this kind of scam!

as a first step, press Report icon and the admins will ban the members.

as a second step, maybe it is better that anyone willing to create an account in expat-blog, should send his/her I.D copy to the admins team, as his will prevent fake accounts and many other troubles future wise!

any suggestions?

any one complaining from the same issues?

Hi don moe,

No you're not the only one suffering from this problem.

As you pointed out the best option, and really the only action you need to take, is to use the REPORT button for any private message or even topic posting that you find offensive, abusive, annoying or is just plain spam. The Expat-blog Team will take the appropriate action immediately, you can be sure of that.

Another point that I'd like to make is NEVER under any circumstances post personal information such as e-mail addresses, telephone numbers, etc., in the open forums. This is an open ivitation to being flooded with spam and other unwanted and unsolicited e-mail.

Thanks jwoodward, it is not east to cope with this problem, especially that some fake accounts are created to disturb others, and the best solution here is to REPORT, and that's it.

my friend here, yesterday gave me a call that even old members are sending her any kind of private message just to act clever or as if they want to help her, and later they tart flirting or sending her mobile numbers to call them!

we need some extra solutions too!

it is becoming more serious and more dangerous nowadays.
