Many (many, many) years ago I stumbled upon a Russian shopping area in the large building near the port just off Gangwan Square. Set up like a Chinese market (knick-knacks, clothes, hand tools) but mainly catered to Russians. Anyone know if it's still there or know of a similar area?
Trying to stay away from the tourist trap which is Russia Street.

Yeah. There are many Russian shops near Shengliqiao, just not far from downtown. the street is called eluosi fengqingjie 俄罗斯风情街 in Chinese. You may go there by taxi.

Sorry, I see what's the problem. I've seen many Russian tourists shopping at Shuangxing Market just behind the train station before. Maybe you can have a look there.
