We will be relocating to Bahrain from Qatar and are looking at bringing one of our cars with us.

The questions being:

1. Does anyone have any experience of importing a used car (2 years old) into Bahrain?

2. I am thinking of driving it through KSA to Bahrain, does anyone have any experience of doing this?

3. Generally, are there any pitfalls in driving the car in, as opposed to shipping it?

4. Do I have to have residency befo0re I can bring the car in?

Apologies for being so general in nature with these questions, but any help/advice would be appreciated.

Hello - sorry but it appears not many of us have experience in this matter.
I know lots of locals/regional nationals take their cars across borders, without too much of a hassle. Let me ask someone knowledgable and get back to you.
