Hi,

For the ones living in Salvador da Bahia, what would you suggest to discover the region?

When you have friends or family visiting you, where do you go with them? What are the must-see places in Salvador da Bahia, the tourist sites?

How to visit the region in an original way? Any unusual or unknown place to recommend?

What would you suggest for a couple of days of for a week of holidays in Salvador da Bahia?

Hi Julie,

There are many options for visiting in Salvador: touristic places, beaches, islands near the capital, mountains, etc.

When I received either friends or family, I tried to combine and visit all these places: Pelourinho, Igreja do Bomfim, Farol da Barra, Praia do Forte, Morro de São Paulo, Chapada Diamantina, and so on.

If you want to visit the region in an original way, the best option is to contact someone local. They usually know places that do not appear in books. ;-)

Depending on the agenda and the time available, you can spend from 2-3 days up to 1-2 weeks in the region, this is up to you! :-)
