Hi,

For the ones living in Rome, what would you suggest to discover the region?

When you have friends or family visiting you, where do you go with them? What are the must-see places in Rome, the tourist sites?

How to visit the region in an original way? Any unusual or unknown place to recommend?

What would you suggest for a couple of days or for a week of holidays in Rome?

Hi Julie!
For day trips in Lazio I'd suggest the following;
Ostia Antica, the ruins of a Roman port town.
Viterbo, a couple of hours by train but feels like another world, a really cute small city. Lots of great thermal spas nearby too.
Lago di Bracciano, visit the lake, the cute lakeside towns and seafood restaurants
Castelli Romani, a series of hilltop towns not far from Rome. The surrounding countryside is lovely in the autumn. Visit Frascati to try the local wine!
