Hoax job offer alert !

I have been issued with an appointment letter and an invitation letter for a job to work in UK but I have doubts about the authenticity of the job since the sender uses the company name but the telephone contacts seems different from those on the official website furthermore the emails being used for correspondence is suspicious . could this be a hoax job offer!

How did you first hear about this job, was it an e-mail sent to you? Many hoax job offers are sent to African nations via e-mail. I know that in Canada, my homeland, there are many such hoaxes and some even have created false websites that look almost identical to the real company website.

See the following posting regarding the Kutuma Hotels Canada job offer fraud, it will show you what I'm talking about.

One real easy way to determine if it is a hoax or not is to look at the e-mail contact address you've been given, if it is something other than a domain name of the company then chances are it is bogus. For example you get a job offer from ABC Corporation from somebody named Marry Brown and the e-mail address is m.brown[at]yahoo.com rather than m.brown[at]abccorp.com or if the e-mail address is for a different country than where the job is then I would be really suspicious. Also with job offer frauds there is always some kind of subtantial fee you must pay that's always a bit tip-off too.

If you want absolute proof then by all means contact someone either through the official website or by telephone just to make sure.

they sent me the email which I replied then did an interview questionnaire after which I signed the job offer. then latter they sent me the job appointment letter and the invitation letter. they say that I search for the work permit as well as visa but the times given for the resumption of the job is very short. just a month. they offer help to apply for visa and that's how I got suspicious . I have contacted the company but they are yet to respond .

Are you famous and internationally renowned in your field? If not it is unlikely that any legitimate company will head-hunt you. Amost certainly a scam. What job have they offered you?

Well it seems like hoax as in UK when u got job offer then organization have to get your visa documents sorted as well.

Send me the details by PM.
I can google hoaxes like you wouldn't believe.
