Dear Expat.com members,
I'm looking for some information on Singapore Housing Cost. I will leave soon for singapore as an expat. My wife and I are looking for a 3 bedroom appartment (at least 130 square meters) quite close to the city center. Our housing allowance is about 5 400 SGP $. We heard that accommodation in Singapore was very expensive.
Do you think it is enough for being in a good condominium not too old style ?

You can easily find a nice Condo at S$5000 or slightly above.
But most apartments are much smaller than 130sqm, due to Singapore's limited size and Asians being used to smaller spaces. If you want big, look for old Condos - 15-20 years ago they were still built in this size!

I know of someone living in a nice city condo called The Clift. It is a fully-furnished single bedroom loft unit with a great view of the city skyline. Monthly rent is $5500 SGD. if you are willing to consider somewhere outskirts of the city, you can get a bigger condo for the same price.
