Mauritians traveling to Sri Lanka.

Hi.

Is there anyone in the know about visa requirements for Mauritians traveling to Sri Lanka as tourists?
Am keen to go after traveling through India for a month for holidays.
I've done a little internet browsing and it seems as though no visa is required for stays up to 30 days, but just wanted to check?

Is it just as simple as arriving at the airport with a on-ward flight after the 30 days?

Thanks in advance for any replies.

Hello Worldtraveller
As I know you better ask this from your Sri Lankan embasy.
But its not difficult to get tourist visa to Sri Lanka.

So Ill find more details Ill inform you ok.

Suresh

Sureshwas, thank you for your response. Unfortunately there is no Sri Lankan embassy in Mauritius.
Doing a little research last night, seems as though Mauritian passport holders don't for 30 days, maybe just a show of funds with credit/bank card on arrival.
Sounds fine.

But if you get anything else, please let me know.

Thank you.

Dear WT
Here I found some information about Sri Lnakan travel visa

Sri Lanka tourist visa is required
for citizens of Mauritius.

Citizens of Mauritius residing in Mauritius must apply for a visa to Sri Lanka in person at the nearest consulate of Sri Lanka in Mauritius. Please note, application procedures and fees may vary by location. If there is no consulate of Sri Lanka in Mauritius there may be a consulate of Sri Lanka in a neighboring country that covers the jurisdiction of Mauritius.

While we cannot process your travel visa request, travelers should take note of the following advice:

# Check the current validity of your passport

For international travel, all travelers will need a passport, valid for at least 90 days following your departure date. However, we strongly recommend traveling with six months validity on your passport at all times.

It is also recommended that your valid passport have at least two un-used pages remaining, for any necessary entry and exit stamps that may be issued. It is also a good idea to review the number of pages and validity remaining your passport well in advance of overseas travel. This will allow for time needed if a replacement passport may be required.

# Use our Embassy Guide

Here you can look up embassy and consular contact information. Our comprehensive database of worldwide embassy address and contact details can help you locate the nearest embassy to seek country-specific guidance pertaining to travel regulations.

I'll find more details and inform to you OK..

Hi Sureshwas.

Thank you for your reply.
But I have to ask, are you 100% sure about this? Where is this information from? We have searched the internet and everything has said that Mauritians are able to stay for 30 days without a visa??? A little confused now. There is no Embassy or Consulate for Sri Lanka in Mauritius, so maybe we can check when in India?

Again thanks for all your help.
WT.

All nationals require a valid visa, some nationals do obtain visa on-arrival whilst others do have to obtain in advance from their originating country before their journey commenced.
