Hi,

I'm an Arab myself, been in Shanghai for 2 years. Might be too late now and you might have found out for yourself, but there is a pretty good (for China at least) Middle eastern restaurant called 1001 nights on Hengshan road.

Shanghai is a very international city. You just cannot go to the airport, or downtown without seeing women in Middle Eastern attire. Though, I cannot tell you if they are from Turkey, or Dubai or from whence they come from. China is very welcoming, and you can find many restaurants that you would find enjoyable. best of wishes.
