Hello, if a couple with 2 children (both under 3 years) was moving to Jeddah, where is a good area(s) for living that you would recommend? Somewhere that is near kids parks or entertainment of some sort?

At what age do children start going to school? I'm used to the U.S. system where KG is at 5 years and pre-school can be 3 or 4. If so, what are some good pre-schools, preferably near the compounds or good housing areas.

Also, is it normal to have a driver for ladies? Do they stay on 24 hours or do you call them as needed?

hello
good area residential area in jeddah are Rawda, khaldeyah, shatie, naeem, basateen etc.
in my opinion Naeem or Basateen is better as there are too many compounds and schools
in these areas you can easily find parks ,gardens and amusement parks for kids. its near to the beach
also, nearby you have Red sea mall and many more shopping centers.
nearby compounds are
belle view village
mohammadiya compound
continental compound
shaker village etc

good schools near the compounds are
jeddah prep and grammar school
british international school
yusr school
thamer school

foreigners can't hire personal drivers except for doctors and businessmen.
but you can surely find many on-call drivers
( i know a good driver with his own car)
