It's great being able to join here on Expat.com.
I think it's really nice, friendly and helpful.
I'm from Jakarta, Indonesia, living in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia at the moment.
I'm Pisces and a goat according to my Feng Shui zodiac sign :p
I've arrived here in KL around 2,5 years ago, with my wife and my 4 year old daughter. ( now I have 3 children here in KL ) that probably explained a bit how nice settling down here, hehe...
We stayed at One World hotel in Bandar Utama once we arrived.
And after after a few days, we moved to Meridin Mont Kiara apartment.
(most of expats working here live in mont kiara)
Obviously after 2,5 years been living here, we've been going around KL, it's a very good city to live in my opinion.
And on holidays Malaysia has lots to offer too.
But I prefer more staying in Genting Highland because I love cool weather, and many attractions there too for family besides just known as a place for gambling.

Regarding education for our daughter, we placed our first daughter at Kinderland school in Desa Sri Hartamas ( kindergarden with day care) and after she graduated, we moved her to Sri KDU private school in Damansara.
The others (1,4 year old daughter and 2 months old boy) only stayed at home with a nanny.

It's been a pleasure living here in KL, they have places that so enjoyable for expats to explore.
Settling down was easy for us.
I guess that's about all.
