hello,

I am also new member, I hope we will enjoy here

I have a question for you about living in Lebanon under certain circumstances

Sure. Go ahead

The question I have is, my friend is considering moving to Beirut if she were to marry her boyfriend. However, she has a 5 year old daughter from a previous relationship, who is mixed race (black/white). Her boy friend is of lebanese decent, however they were not sure if it is a wise decision, and what the lebanese community would think of such relationship, due to (catholic religion) religion, family, schools for her daughter, and in general life. --- Overall, is this an accepted way of life? -- Or would it be too difficult for them to live in this type of situation.

Serge, I take it you didn't get my message?

Well, it might be an issue to his family (all really depend on how open minded they are. The fact that the child is the result of a relationship rather than marriage is an issue if the family is really conservative) The school and the larger community won't be a big deal as its not something unseen (if you are referring to the mixed race here). I'm saying that because you mentioned the 2 factors. First and foremost, he has to test it with his smaller entourage, the rest is easier.
Hope I answered your question. Feel free to say anything you may think of.
