Hi, my name is Alex, I have 26 years old, I come from Bordeaux in France, i post on this forum in order to have more informations about the possibilities to me and my wife (6 years of french civil union) to live in New Zealand.
I'm an aicraft engineer on maintenance, my wife is an horticultural engineer on trees nursery.
Our initial project is to work in an other country than France, because we dont see for us an evolution about our carriers, we already have a job as i said and we would know if its possible for us to work in NZ with our job. We dont want just make some tourisme, we really want live in a different country, so the first logical question is " why you dont try in Europe ?" because for us European's countries don't attract us, and during our research we found Australia/NZ are may be the best chances for us to allow our work and life style.
So i would like some advices in order to have a better idea about our projet, because as i said, we have already a job in compagny so its a real challenge for us.
We both speak english (i know i make some mistakes, and i'm sure you know french people are horrible english speakers 
, i'm happy because i didn't write in english since a long time :p - we have TOEIC both of us).
Our first questions, because i'm sure more we will speak and more questions will come.
1) Do you think our projet is available ?
2)Is it hard for stranger to be a part of kiwi world ? because we dont want come for 1 or 2 year(s)
3)How are French people here ? Are they in good mod? I want to know if we dont give bad mind to kiwi people, i hope no !
4)With our job do you think it's possible to send emails and try a skype conversation to talk about a job/visa with a compagny or we oblige to come at tourist in a 1st step ?

Je m'appel Alex 26 ans Bordelais depuis longtemps, et je viens vers vous expatriés afin de m'ouvrir les yeux sur la faisabilité de mon projet : vivre à l'étranger et particulièrement en NZ.
Pour en revenir au projet initial, je travail dans l'aéronautique, je suis mécanicien avion et les différentes évolutions et perspectives d'avenir pour moi en régions Francaises ne sont pas bonne (à part me pros*** à Paris ou Lyon - non merci) et l'Europe ne m'attire pas d'un point de vue pour vivre dans un autre pays.
Après plusieurs recherche, La nouvelle Zelande me semble aproprié, j'aime les paysages, la nature et de ce que j'ai lu dessus ca ressemblerai à ce que je cherche. Petit bémol, donc je ne cherche pas un visa pour faire du Tourisme en première parti mais bel et bien un visa pour effectué mon travail la bas ! Je suis Pacsé avec ma compagne depuis 6 ans et nous voulons quitter nos CDI respectifs mais transférer nos compétences et les garder la bas.
Nous parlons tout les 2 anglais (on est pas bilingue hein, nous avons tout les 2 le TOEIC) et de part mon métier moi je suis obligé de parler Anglais, et ma femme est ingénieure Horticole.
Est ce que vous pensez que notre projet est réalisable ?
Est il obligatoire de venir d'abord en Touriste pour faire les démarches auprès d'entreprises ?
Est il facile de s'intégrer ?
Comment sont vu les Francais ?
M'enfin j'ai pleins de questions qui tarodent mais elles viendront au fur et à mesure !

Je m'appelle aussi Alex, et je réside depuis 2007 en Aquitaine, à 150 bornes de Bordeaux.
Je suis une ancienne oenologue reconvertie en traiteur, je bosse à mon compte depuis 2008.... Mais comme toi, je fais l'amer constat que la vie en France et en Europe devient assez calamiteuse, suffisemment en fait pour nous donner communément l'idée d'aller vivre en Nouvelle Zélande.
Avec mon mari, nous projettons un voyage en camping car de 3 semaines en Septembre prochain, afin de faire l'état des lieux, et de prendre la température de certaines villes....
Honnêtement, j'ai un faible pour une ville nommée Nelson, mais je n'arrêterai mon choix qu'une fois sur place.
J'envisage ensuite, si notre voyages a été concluant, de lancer mes démarches pour créer un restaurant français la-bas, faire un business plan, voir les investisseurs, etc etc....
Mais c'est vrai qu'il y a de quoi flipper avec un tel projet que le notre : nous voulons vivre à l'autre bout du monde.
Au départ, je ne suis pas une fana des voyages, mais là, je suis bien décidée, pour notre futur, de tenter autre chose.
