Does anyone have any insight as to wether it is difficult for Vietnamese citizens to get a visa in order to travel to other countries, sans the United States? I'm being told by a VN person that it is very difficult, but they have no direct experience w/ this

To the US... it's very difficult (but not as difficult as a few years ago). The US wants to make sure you return home and not overstay your Visa. Thus, you need to show (among other things) that you have strong ties to your home country.

Yes, I understand the issues w/ the U.S. thats why I excluded them (sans). I just di not realize it was difficult for a VN to get a visa to say Kenya fro a safari trip or Paris,Italy etc.

Canada is apparently difficult as well. Probably US influence.
