Hi,

I live about 60kms from Lodz, we go there for the shopping, unfortunately not cheap anymore, although eating out and accommodation is cheaper than the UK.
It is a town of contrast with very modern shopping centres and some places that look like they haven't been touched since WW2.
Hope you will be happy there.
