What do I need to live in England?

I want to live in England but I'm not exactly sure what I need. There's so much information and it's really overwhelming. All I know is I have a passport to go there, I'm a student and I have a girlfriend there.

Where do I start? Thanks.

First of all, use your girlfriend as a resource! Need more specifics, what you need is too broad a question. Ask some specific questions and I can try to help you or point you to a good reference

You need to:
- get a plane ticket;
- pack your luggage.

But seriously now:

1 - money - for food, accommodation, transport, books, etc. Enough to get by for few weeks, before you find a job and receive your first salary;
2 - you can start searching online for a flat (if you're not staying with your girlfriend) and a job from you country (update and adjust your CV to the local standards first);
3 - read, read, read. There are plenty information about student life in London on the web.

And as previously said - what do you need to know? Be more specific.
