Land in Tanzania

Hi,

I am looking to purchase land in Tanzania for part humanitarian projects and part business adventures. This would include community projects such as building schools for deprived areas whilst also building guesthouses for tourists for instance.

I have looked into the rules for non-Tanzanian residents buying land but they seem somewhat confusing and I was wandering if anyone would be able to clarify them.

I would be looking at buying land near the coast, Tanga and the nearby area stands out to me.
Does anyone know the cost of purchasing land near Tanga?

Also to know the rough price of stable foods per kg in this area would also be helpful, as well as the average wages for teachers, cooks, guards and cleaners.

Also the general cost of living in this area would be very helpful.

Sorry for so many questions!

Thanks, Richard.

Hi,

Are you still looking for land? I have a 2472 Acre plot in DSM; close to the main sea port as well as city centre and the Air port. The land is ideal for agriculture but can serve any use - it is quite a large chunk of land.

Let me know if you would be interested and I will forward you some details.

Thanks

Farhan
