Hello there!

I might be moving from India to Guangzhou soon but I am skeptical about a few things. What sort of rent I can expect If i decide to take up a furnished 1BHK or 2BHK apartment in a nice area? Also, If i want to live a decent life, with occasional dining out, shopping and a bit of travelling, What would be a good salary for that?

you are curious about what salary can lead you a good life here in Guangzhou?

i think, it is really difficult to tell, as everyone has his/her own standard about dencent life(salary).

i just can tell you that for chinese people, working in Guangzhou, average salary will be about RMB6000(I guess so). with this salary, you can expect an average life.

And renting an average apartment(for example, 80 SQ.M),will be about RMB2500-3000 for normal location....
