Nightlife and entertainment in Doha vs Dubai

Hey everyone, I am from the USA and have been an expat in KSA and UAE. I am now considering a contract in Doha. It pays a little bit better than a contract I was offered in Abu Dhabi, but if quality of life is less I would rather take lower pay.

1.How is the night life and entertainment there compared to Dubai?
2. How conservative is the lifestyle there?
3. Are there many western people compared to the expat community in UAE?

Hi Schulz, I just shifted from Dubai 2 months back after living 8 years there & big different which might lead you to disappointment.
-miserable night life with limited choices , membership applicable everywhere with long queues of guys waiting on weekends
-there is no one single mixed gym in Doha which can give you good indicator about how conservative the life is.
- going to the beach on weekend is a big deal as all the hotels are just for members on weekends " membership around 15,000 /year"
- many western peoples are living here but not as much as Dubai " Arabs are majority"
