Working as a foreign student ?

Hello every one. I wanted to ask if there is any legal ways for foreign students to supplement their income?
I don't that whith a visa student we can't work, but are FOREIGN students allowed to do the on-campus jobs, like Teacher's Assistant, computer chores in library etc? Any advice would be appreciated. Thanks!

Working without a work permit is technically illegal, however, many many people are doing it. Actually some companies hire people without providing them with work permits in order to avoid extra expenses like paying taxes, insurance, etc.

I assume that working on campus as a student shouldn't be a problem, but I'm not a legal expert, you should check with the campus that is hiring.
