Best you do an online search for work.
To be honest local councils are very poorly funded, pay low salary.

Have you frends in local councils?
I have knowledge that salary is 60-90,000 dollars, which is not very low pay.

I am a New Zealander.
The salary may seem high to you but when you take tax out it is not very good.
The high salary end is for senior management types.
Many kiwis leaving to go to Australia where the pay is a lot better.
That is why I left.
