Marisa, everyone not-Kazakh needs a workpermit in order to work in KZ. So I would advise you to check the offer you've gotten.

I live and teach in Astana - a very well paying position in a public institution. If you don't speak Russian you will have difficulty finding a job here. Few speak English, or even Arabic. It is expensive and cold - Almaty is much better. [Moderated: inappropriate]
