Is there any other way to travel within Riyadh without Taxi or Car?

Dear All,

I heard there is no public transportation avail within Riyadh city. Is it true? Everyone should either have their own vehicle (car/bike) or travel by taxi only?

Why the government is not taking any action on public transport?

...well those are you only two options really. Or you could take a jet plane :p

There is currently a bus with limited routes and times.  A friend has used it to get to the cheaper shopping markets (frequented by south and south east asian expats)

I'm sure that helps the ladies in Riyadh who wish to get about.

that's actually the problem... If there is public transport, the segregation between males and females will be a problem.

My idea is to put up buses for ladies and gentlemen. lol
pink bus for ladies only.

It is a red SAPTCO Bus.
