Got a rented flat in Sibiu & going for residency next. 2 seperate Romanian bank accounts (a pain!). I know we need to prove we have enough money to support ourselves since we aren't working. Anyone got an idea what they consider to be enough?

It's something ridiculously small, around 125 RON or something. Might be more as you're a couple, but probably only 200 RON or so.

Minimum is indeed 125 Lei a month, but if you store something about an few thousand euro on an romanian account, then you have your permit for 5 years inside 4 hours. The autorities in Romania are very friendly with people who want to come here. You must be at the police station close to piata Romana, you can get the forms there and it is easy to fill in.
