Only 3 days

Hello, my name is Michelle and I am visiting your city with my family in May...and we are not sure where to stay....looking at a hotel near the Guangzhou railway station, the Marriott, love shopping and cheap street food...But I know that the kids would love the Chimelong resort, is it far from that area? Is the cheap eats around the chimelong resort, I hate eating in 5 star places and would like a little supermarket close by ...really not sure where to stay, it's our first time to this city, but I think we'll be coming back again. We are arriving by train from HK, hope someone can please me out and please me make a decision.
