We did a day trip last weekend out of Subic and caught ZERO fish. But consumed lots of beer.
Anything close in is protected so plan to spend at least 2-3 hours to arrive at any decent areas outside of Subic.

If fishing is what you like, you can try them here near our place in Valenzuela. Although i havent been there or experience it but my friends do.
If you want then I can take you there and experience them too
