I need to take proof of Maltese car insurance to the Registration authorities.
Therefore I am insuring a car with foreign number plates. How does this work, any advice??

The Insurance certificate will not have a Registration mark on it. But it will have the Engine number. When you register the car then you will need to contact the insurance company with teh new registration plate and then they will change it accordingly.
You have to remember that the letters correspond with the months so First letter as an A = Jan B = Feb C=March and so on this will be the month that the annual tax for the car will be due.
