Schools in downtown vancouver area

Planning to move to vancouver . Have two children aged 5 and 7years and need advice on placing them in good schools. I would personally like to move initially to coal harbour but have been told by acquaintance its not a safe/convenient place for children.

Can anyone advise?

I'm wondering the same question, but my daughters are 3yo and 18mo at that time... so not old enough to go to school, but preschool and kindergarten.

Hope you found what you were searching for :)

Hi Newstart,

I lived for a year in that neighborhood and it's quite safe for kids, you're next to the Stanley park which is nice and close to all of downtown amenities. The only downside is the price for rentals and the fact that it can be noisy on friday nights with the restaurants.

If you have a condo off the main streets (Robson or Denman), you should be fine. There is a good school on Bidwell street and the kids seem to enjoy it a lot. It's a pretty busy neighborhood but very diverse and convenient when you move to Vancouver for the 1st time. I really enjoyed it a lot.

Good luck
