I would be moving to Muscat for work in a Indian company, the salary offered is OR. 1650 plus accommodation & transport. Though i have not yet confirmed if accommodation is furnished or not, i will do it right away, but would like to know if getting a driving licence is expensive then should i also load it on the company? is this a good package?

Further i an provided medical for self & family with exception to dental, spectacles, etc, is this a common practice there?

Hi pkpz

OMR 1650 is a good package. I have been reading a lot on this forum and the average packages for Indians are averaging OMR 600 - 1200. So you are getting a good deal.

Getting a driver's license will cost approx OMR 350. It is very tedious to get a license as I understand (read other threads).
