I have just spent the last couple of days looking for a good quality used car.. But so far I can not be impressed by the quality of cars being sold and now think about importing a car which is quite easily as I do still spend some time in the region.

Now I've heard there is a maximum age for importing cars but could not find any such rule as of yet does anybody have any experience in importing cars older than 5 yrs?

Hello mate,

I can advise you on that if you want. Well yeah you are right, if you want to import cars, it does not have to be older than 4 years otherwise they won't let it through in Mauritius. Then you need to work out your budget as well. What sorta cars you are after etc. Looking froward to your reply.
