You can visit Singapore on a standard Social Visit Pass (SVP, usually valid 1 month and can be extended to 3 months) to look for a job. Being here will increase your chances greatly!
Once you find a job, the employer will apply for your work visa (Work Permit, S-Pass or Employment Pass, depending on your salary and education).
